The palace complex of City Palace Udaipur was built 400 years ago. The monument was build by contribution of many Emperor dynasties. The construction of city Palace Udaipur was started by Maharana Udai Singh-2. The fort was declared as Capital of Sisodia Rajputs.

The City Palace of Udaipur is located at the bank of lake Pichola and has many fort build around the complex. The palace is considered to be the biggest to be in Rajasthan and is a perfect example of Mughal architecture. Lake Palace Udaipur

Monsoon Palace Udaipur

The monsoon palace Udaipur, or Sajjan Garh is located on the hilltop of the city. The palace is named Sajjan Garh after Maharana Sajjan Singh of Mewar. The monsoon palace from hilltop looks at Fateh Sagar Lake from the Hilltop.

The palace was built to gather news and information regarding monsoon clouds. Also, Maharana built the palace on hilltop to keep a watch on their ancestral house. 

Shiv Niwas palace Udaipur

The Shiv Niwas palace is built on south of city palace complex. The construction of this palace was started by Maharana Sajjan Singh Shambhu which was later completed by his successor and offspring Maharana Fateh Singh. The palace was used as a guest house for royal guests. 

The Shiv Niwas Palace has witnessed most royal gatherings of Rajasthan and India including King George the Fifth of United Kingdom.

Lake Pichola
