Welcome at the Leh airport by. Acclimatizing to the altitude is very important journey before doing any activity so we take rest and venture out to the city market in evening for a casual stroll. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 2 : LEH – Enroute Khardungla – “Nubra Valley”
After breakfast at the hotel, brace yourself for the splendid drive over the mighty Khardung La – the 2nd highest motor able pass in the world at a height of 5602 M/ 18,380 ft. Over the route, the road dramatically plunges, and Shyok and Nubra Rivers unfold magically. You move on via Diskit to reach the white sands of Hunder. After freshening up, visit the Diskit monastery, which is believed to be the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra valley, and enjoy the sunset. Head back to the camps by late evening. Overnight in Nubra.
Day 3 : Nubra – Turtuk - Nubra 150 kms
Post breakfast check out & drive to Hunder. Spend some time on the white sand dunes here; do a ride on the Double Humped Bactrian Camels. Stop en route for packed lunch. At noon reach the picturesque border village of Turtuk which technically falls in Baltistan- the Balti region of Pakistan & was annexed by India during the 1971’ war. Spend the rest of the day walking around and interacting with the locals- the whole feel is like being in Pakistan but rest assured the locals are very friendly & patriotic towards India. Photo ops: the dunes & Bactrian Camels at Hunder; the entire drive from Hunder to Turtuk - the wide Nubra Valley starts narrowing in & the mountain, the color of the rocks & mountains gets darker & darker, and the region more & more remote, till it finally bursts out into the verdant & full-of-life Turtuk region; Thoise Airbase–on the RHS a little while after Hunder; Turtuk & its twin village with orchards, fields & flowers, the wonderful cultural, & religious icons including mosques with tall intricately wooden minarets. The wonderfully warm & hospitable locals with their cherubic European looks- the kids are adorable; and the vistas when you go on walks in the surrounding region , Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 4 : Nubra - Pangong
After Breakfast, begin your journey for the day, exploring the various villages of Nubra Valley. Retrace your Towards Pangong via Shyok/ Warila, The sunset is the perfect backdrop you can wish for. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. .Reach Hotel by late evening. Overnight stay in Camp/ Hotel .
Day 5 : pangong - leh
After breakfast drive back to Leh. On the way back, visit the Thikshey and Hemis Monasteries. Later you may also indulge in a little photo shoot if you get a chance to witness the blessed sunset at the Lake. Overnight in Leh
Day 6 : BACK TO HOME
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and transfer to Leh Airport.
