Day 1: Arrive at Leh - Acclimatization and rest
Welcome at Leh airport from where you'll be transferred to the hotel, check-in and have some rest. Acclimatizing to the altitude is very important before doing any activity so we take rest till afternoon.
In the evening, you can venture out to the city market for a casual stroll (No transport will be Provided for Market). Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Tip: At the height of 10,000 ft., oxygen level is dropped and carelessness can lead to AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). It is strictly advisable to rest and stay hydrated in order to acclimatize yourself. You can find the details here on how to prevent AMS -
Day 2: Indus Valley Tour - Visit Shey Palace - Thikse - Hemis Gompa
Wake up lazy morning. We begin the day by visiting Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and then to Shey Palace.
Shey monastery and palace is located 15 km from Leh town on the Leh - Manali road. The monastery enshrines the Du-Khang with an almost 10 meter high copper statue of Lord Buddha. The Shey Palace was the abode of the royal family till 1834 AD when they moved to the Stok palace.
Continue your drive on a well mettled broad road traveling upstream along the Indus River to Hemis Gompa, crossing over the Indus at the village of Karu. Hemis is well known for its festival or Hemis Tsechu commemorating the birthday of Guru Padmasambhava. In evening, return to Leh for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Leh - Lamayuru via Sham valley and Alchi (3-4 hrs. Journey)
After a sumptuous breakfast we head towards Leh-Srinagar highway and first visit Spituk Monastery, located 2-3 km away from Leh town. Enroute visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, magical Magnetic Hill, the Sangam (confluence) of Zanskar and Indus river.
Now continue towards Alchi, a small village situated on low land, all green with apricot trees on both side of road. Alchi monastery is a Buddhist worshipping place and study center and is managed by the monks of Likir. In Alchi, one can visit the Sumtsek Temple, Vairocana Temple, Lo Tsawa Temple, Manjushree Temple, Kangyur Temple with Stupas, Monk Cells etc.
Now drive to Lamayuru village to experience the Moonland like landscape followed by Lamayuru Monastery. Overnight stay at Lamayuru.
Day 4: Lamayuru – Hinju – Sumdo Doksa via Kongskil La (7 hrs. Journey)
Wake up early morning and we'll head to the Lamayuru Monastery to attend the morning prayers. Return to hotel for breakfast. Gear up, pack your bags and we'll drive upto Hinju from where we proceed on foot.
A gradual ascent will bring you to the Kongskil La ridge from where you will get great views of Stok and Karakoram ranges. The other side pass is scree and a little difficult to negotiate.
A campsite perched at a good height you get a beautiful view of the valley from here. Today we also cross the highest pass of this trek, Kongskil la and if the weather stays by our side we get an exclusive view of the valley. Overnight stay at Camps in Sumdo Doksa.
Day 5: Sumda Doksa – Base of Dung Dung Chan la (5 hrs. Journey)
After a few river crossings and the village of Sumdo Chenmo, the trails starts gradually ascending to the base of Dung Dung Chan La. Look out for edelweiss and other rare flowers of Ladakh along the way. Overnight stay in the camps.
Day 6: Base of Dung Dung Chan La – Chilling (5 hrs. Journey)
It’s a straight climb from the Dung Dung Chan La pass. The trail then descends gradually to the village of Chilling. Reach Chilling by afternoon. Check-in at the home stay where you can try your hands on Ladakh cuisine and experience warm hospitality from the locals. Dinner and overnight stay in Chilling.
Day 7: Raft from Chilling to Nemo and back to Leh
Wake up lazy morning. Post breakfast and some leisure, we'll head to the Rafting point. Raft down the Zanskar River - a journey through the Grand Canyon of the East (26 KM rafting). Reach Nemo in the afternoon where Hot Lunch will be served. Now we'll retrace our steps back to Leh. Reach Leh in the evening. Check-in at the hotel, We'll call it an early night. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 8: Leh - Enroute Khardungla - Nubra Valley (5-6 hrs. Journey)
In the morning after breakfast, brace yourself for the splendid drive over the mighty Khardung La – one of the highest motorable Pass in the world at the height of 5602 M / 18,380 ft. Over the route, the road dramatically plunges, and Shyok and Nubra Rivers unfold magically. You move on via Diskit to reach the white sands of Hunder. Spend some time on the white sand dunes here; do a ride on the Double Humped Bactrian Camels if you want to (on your own). Visit the Diskit monastery, which is believed to be the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra valley, and enjoy the sunset. Return to camps in the evening where bonfire and tea-snacks would be arranged for. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 9: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok / Warila (5-6 hrs. Journey)
Post breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Pangong Tso via Warila / Shyok village. Enroute explore the mound of earthen monastic dwellings, crowned by the Gompa. The valley is blessed with a beautiful stream flowing through it, originating from the lake, giving a greenish tincture to the otherwise dry landscape around. Apart from flora this area is rich in fauna too. You can see a lot of Himalayan Marmots around the area. However, the main attraction of this circuit is the grand Pangong Tso, which you would reach by early evening. The mesmerizing beauty and the fantastic view of Tso places it a league above anything you have seen so far. Dinner and overnight stay near Pangong.
Day 10: Pangong to Leh via Changla pass - Visit Shanti Stupa (5-6 hrs. Journey)
After breakfast and some leisure, drive your way back to Leh. Enroute we’ll visit the Sindhu Ghat and Thiksey monastery followed by Shey Palace and Druk White Lotus Rancho School. Reach Leh in the evening from where we'll head to Shanti Stupa - bask in the peace amidst this hilltop Stupa and revel in the panoramic view of the city. The sunset is the perfect backdrop you wished for. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 11: Bid the Fairyland Good Bye
After a scrumptious breakfast, complete all the signing out formalities and cab will drop you at Leh airport. Board the flight back to home. End of trip.

The Tripp was very well organized and the same thing was executed! Our SPOC responded to us without any hesitation when we called them a lot every day! The hotel accommodation (except Manali where the hospitality was average) were very good! Our drivers were very friendly and informative. Overall a very good experience.
