Day 1: Katunayake Colombo Airport – Kandy

 

Arrive at Colombo airport and transfer to Kandy. On your way to Kandy, take a pit stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage set amongst the verdant hills of Kegalle is a unique orphanage. This is the world's first and only elephant orphanage established to feed, nurse and house young elephants lost or abandoned by their mothers. Make good memories and capture moments while feeding the elephants and take a walk with them and see these once abandoned elephants happy and playful in their natural habitat.

Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel - Kandy.

Day 2: Explore Kandy

Known as Sri Lanka's cultural capital, Kandy withstood the Portuguese and Dutch for three centuries and was the capital city of the last Sinhalese kingdom, which at last tumbled to the British in 1815. Coming to things to do in Kandy, you can start with exploring the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, walk around Kandy Lake, breathe in the fragrance of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, brush up on history at The National Museum of Kandy or light a candle at Kandy Devales. Moreover, Kandy and its satellite villages are the centre of the islands handicraft industry (items of wood, brass & silver) exquisite silver or gold jewellery and precious gems of many varieties including the world’s best blue and star sapphires.

Day 3:  Kandy – Nuwara Eliya by Train

 

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Nuwara Eliya, en  route visit the tea plantation and the scenic drive where you can even see how tea is manufactured. Do taste the famous Ceylon Tea. Also, you can visit the Seetha Amman Temple in Seetha Eliya where as per the Hindu Mythology it’s also called the Ashok Vatika (a part of Ramayana Trail). Lunch at an Indian Restaurant and then get ready for the world's most scenic train ride and experience one of the most beautiful train journeys including one of the most photographed bridge, The Nine Arch Bridge. 

 

Overnight Stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya - Ahungalla via Drive

Morning After breakfast , Head to ahungalla

Places to be covered - 
Rafting in Kelani River 
Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River in Kitugala. The Kelani River is popular for 1957 blockbuster movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” in which the bridge was blown when the train was crossing the river was filmed in Kithulgala. This place is worthwhile for visiting and photographing as you pass the rapids of Kalani River. 

Evening Explore the Ahungalla Beach and Overnight Stay in Ahungalla.

 

Day 5: Explore the Unexplored - Ahungalla

Morning After breakfast head to Explore Madugnga Lake,  Ambalangoda, Kosgoda, Galagoda Shailatharama Viharaya, Induruwa Sea Turtle Conservation Project & Sea Turtle Information Center.

Bentota Beach -You can indulge in optional watersports such as snorkeling, canoeing, sailing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, knee boarding, scuba diving, and banana boat. Next, you can also visit the various clubs in Bentota to enjoy nightlife in Sri Lanka.

Day 6: Ahungalla - Negombo via Drive

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to  Negoombo , Full day is there you can Explore the Colombo .Wildlife that includes monkeys, sea eagles, and monitor lizards can be spotted here,and head to Nagombo . Reach Negombo and Overnight stay in Negombo.

Colombo City Tour: While on your city tour in Colombo you may visit famous places including Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum, Twin World Trade Center towers, Old Parliament Building, Fort district, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and prominent Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian places of worship. (Entrance fees to sites not included). For shopping, you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, (Wijaya gems) Majestic City, Noritake, etc.

Day 7: Back To Home


Located close to the international airport, Negombo has a reputation for being either the first or last taste of the country for visitors. Vist The Negombo beach , Dutch church,Hamilton Canal ( if Time Permits)

 

You'll be dropped at Colombo Airport, from where board the Flight towards back to home.
