Rudraprayag, getting its name from the mighty Lord Vishnu, is located at the concourse of the two rivers- Alaknanda and Mandakini. People believe it to be the area where the two sisters embrace each other and offer a splendid and serene view to the tourists.

Rudraprayag is a religiously rich city, filled with a lot of temples. Some of the famous sites of pilgrimage here are the Jagdamba Temple, Shiva Temple and the Koteshwar temple on the banks of the river Alaknanda.

One can see the wonderful lakes that run through the city and also look at the fascinating glaciers and religious sites.
