16 km from Shimla, at the height of 2,633 mts, is a small hill station of Kufri. Famous for its trekking and hiking trails, it’s also known for nature parks and picnic spots. It offers spectacular and panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Backdrops of snow-covered mountains and some amazing views of natural vistas attract nature lovers to this place.  Through thick cedar woods one can walk up to the Mahasu Peak, or visit the little zoo.

It is well-known for its beautiful and cool revitalizing atmosphere. This sprawling hill station set amongst the picturesque Shivalik range and Shimla hills has a number of tourist spots and important temples, apart from its beautiful natural surroundings. The place is also recognized widely for the adventure sports festivals it hosts every year, skiing and tobogganing competitions being one of it.
