In this, we will be talking about some of the frequently asked questions that our travelers have inquired about prior to their trips with us. Read on to know about hassle free travel in Dubai.

1. What is the process to get the Visa for Dubai?

There is no on-arrival Visa for Indian Tourists in Dubai. Please make sure, you take a buffer of 15 days for the Visa application to go through if you are applying on your own. If you want Shoes On Loose to provide the Visa for you, it can be arranged at an additional price.

In the case of minors traveling alone:

Boys below 12-years and girls below 18-years cannot apply for the Dubai Visa if traveling alone. The only way to make it possible is to first apply for the parent’s visa and then attesting it with the child visa application.

2. Which Visa profiles are most likely to get rejected?

As highlighted by UAE Immigration, they will NOT process Dubai Visa applications for the following profiles: - Applicants with Low professions (Maid, Servants, Drivers, Electricians, Carpenters, Plumber, Pipefitters, etc.) - Applicants with low professions on previous visas to Dubai (Residence/ work Permits, etc.) - ECR Passport holders (Subject to approvals) - Signature in Hindi or any other regional language - Thumb impression on passport

3. How to apply for Visa through Shoes on Loose?

After confirmation of the booking, you’ll receive a system-generated mail with a link to our ‘KYC page’. You simply have to click on the KYC page link and upload the mentioned documents and pictures according to the guidelines mentioned in the mail. (KYC page FAQs are mention on the page itself). From there, Shoes on Loose will take care of your Visa application and will inform you about its status as soon as it gets processed.

4. What is OK-to-Board? Do I require it for traveling to Dubai?

OK to board is a requirement that needs to be fulfilled in order to board your flight to UAE. Once you receive your approved Dubai visa, the same is sent to the airline authorities with whom you’ve booked your flight tickets. The airline rechecks your UAE visa and marks an OK to Board on your flight PNR.

Indian Citizens with ‘ECNR’ passport do not require OTB, Only citizens carrying ‘ECR’ passport need OTB. Ok-to-Board requires a charge of Rs 500/person and can be done personally or you can ask us to do it for you as well.

5. Are the rates mentioned in the packages applicable at all times?

The above-mentioned rates are not applicable during Major Festivals, Public Holidays and any major movement happening in the City. All the charges and the activities mentioned in the packages are subject to availability. Please confirm the details before booking for a hassle-free experience.

6. When will I get the vouchers?

If the flight tickets are booked through us, you will receive the flight voucher on the same day on the payment of the flight amount. Whereas, the tour confirmation voucher will be sent within 15 days of the payment of the full trip amount.

7. Who should not go for the adventure activities mentioned in the packages?

Guest with Medical issues, Heart attack, Pregnant women, people with Back or any joints problems should avoid doing any adventure sports and activities.

8. Smoking Laws in Dubai?

Smoking is strictly prohibited in public areas apart from the designated areas for smoking. You can smoke indoors (hotel rooms and residences) and in cars but smoking in public areas is subject to fine.

9. Drinking Laws in Dubai?

Public Drinking is strictly prohibited, but you can go and have drinks in Bars, Restaurants and Night Clubs. Drinking indoors (hotel rooms and residences) is also perfectly fine.

10. Best time to go?

The best time to go and enjoy pleasant weather is from November to April. Also, during this time the great Dubai Shopping Festival is also held. So make sure to plan your trips to enjoy shopping and good weather during the winter.

11. What is Tourism Dirham in Dubai? How much is it?

Effective from January 2014, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has declared a new fee to be levied on guests staying in hotels and hotel apartments per room per night. If you are staying at a 3* property - Tourism Dirham payable is AED 10 per room per night. If you are staying at a 4* property - Tourism Dirham payable is AED 15 per room per night. If you are staying at a 5* property - Tourism Dirham payable is AED 20 per room per night. Tourism Dirham is payable directly to the hotel you are staying at the time of check-out and is not included in the package.

12. What does it is mean when transfers are on SIC?

SIC - seat in coach, this means your tour is on Sharing basis transfer. Where the tour is available on alternate days. In case the tour is available on any particular day then our operations team will get in touch with you for any amendment if required to do so.

13. Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?

We can’t confirm an early check-in, but our sales team can assist in booking you a night of pre-accommodation at the same hotel. If you don’t wish to pay for the extra night, you can try your luck locally (they may let you in early if the room is free) or you can store your luggage.

14. What will the food be like on my trip? Food is one of the most exciting parts of travel. There may be some familiar fare but often you’ll be confronted with the new, interesting and downright weird of the culinary world but we like to think of it as an adventure for all the senses. In addition to this, our flexible itineraries often allow you to branch out on your own - this means you can eat to suit any budget or desire.

15. Where are my Final Travel Details?

Approximately one week before your departure date you'll receive your final travel details, either through the post or by email. These will include information about where you will be picked up and at what time, flight details if relevant, and everything else you'll need to know before you travel.

16. What will happen if I didn't get the selected Hotel after finalization?

As per our standard booking procedure, we get the approval from client's end on the finalized itinerary, in case the desired hotel is Sold Out/Not Available due to any reason then our operation team will communicate the same within 24-48 hours of booking where we have the policy to provide you an alternate hotel within the same category or upgrade to another hotel depending on availability.

Most of the time you get the desired hotel. If you are not satisfied with the options we provided, you can ask for a *full refund.

*Refund would cover all the land arrangements but exclude flight fares and Visa charges.

17. Which complimentary services are valid?

Only those complimentary services which are mentioned in the voucher/itinerary are valid. Any verbal commitment by the salesperson which is not mentioned in vouchers is not liable.

18. Does Shoes on Loose provide Web Check-in?

No. We don’t provide the facility of Web Check-in. As personalization of meal options, baggage quantities and preferred seating is a personal choice and is best to be customized by the passengers themselves.
