Desciption

On the traipse to Chandrakhani pass you will jot down the journey from Kullu valley with the magnificent view of Pir Panjal ranges, thick vegetation of pine and fir and culture of Himachal befriending you throughout. The trek of 22 km can be covered in 4-5 days. The end point of the trek is Chandrakhani pass which will captivate you into its world of isolation with the serene view of snow clad mountains and the huge pasture land wearing a green carpet.

Best time to go for this trek is May-July and for those who wish to trek amidst the snow carpet, November-March would be the best time.

Itinerary

Day - 1

Arrive at Manali after which you’ll be transferred to Naggar. We’ll start the trek from Naggar. You can also visit Nicolas Roerich (Russian) art gallery and Naggar castle on the way. Picture perfect Naggar valley, with its fertile fields, evergreen thicket and crystal clear gushing waters set against the backdrop of towering mountains provides everything that an adventure seeker dreams of. Then we’ll pass through the apple orchards to the lovely village of Rumsu. We’ll camp on a sheltered plateau for the night.

Day - 1

From Rumsu, we’ll head to the next camp at the base of the Chandrakhani Pass. Amidst the journey we’ll explore the scenic beauty of the Kullu valley, enjoying the awesome view of beautiful pine and oak forest, large area of rhododendrons. Overnight stay will be in tents.

Day - 3

Chandrakhani Pass is one of the most beautiful and serene pass. The mountain peaks that dot the horizon is a treat for the nature lovers. Enjoy the splendid view of Dhauladhar range, parvati valley and malana valley. Then we’ll descend to Malana and camp for the night there.

Malana is an ancient Indian village. Unaffected by modern civilization, Malana has its own lifestyle and social structure. Meet locals and witness their daily activities. After having lunch, we’ll trek to road head and then drive to Manali.
